ThermoGreenHydrogen demonstrates how unused waste heat can be transformed into a sustainable energy carrier. This unlocks previously lost energy potential, replaces fossil fuels, and significantly reduces CO₂ emissions.

The resulting byproducts – heat and oxygen – are fully utilized and fed back into the energy cycle. The project thus delivers not only a technological world premiere, but also a measurable contribution to a completely sustainable energy future.

The project, with a volume of €2.6 million, of which €1.5 million is subsidized, runs from 2024 to 2027 and is being implemented at KWG in Schwanenstadt with a demonstration plant. The aim is to scale up to an industrial level and use it in energy-intensive industries.
